Who was left?
By: Frances L. Hileman
Who was left,
In that lone shuttle in the sky,
Floating to an unknown destination?
Who was left,
but those whose dreams were seen by people,
but not by those who died for it?
Who was left,
But those who only heard silence,
The silence that penetrates the soul,
And all who lies in wait for their seven comrades to destroy,
Destroy the silence and tell them that they are alive,
But they answer the call “Columbia this is Houston. Do you read me?” no more.
This is written in Honor of ALL the Astronauts, who lost their lives so that we many go to the moon, and for Space exploration.
